The Pakistan Rice Road Show 2025: A Deep Dive into Days 1 & 2 in Abidjan

The Pakistan Rice Road Show 2025 in Côte d’Ivoire wasn’t just another trade mission; it was a carefully orchestrated effort to create a lasting partnership in a vital market. The first two days of our delegation’s visit were a testament to the strategic planning and dedication required to forge such a bond. We didn’t simply showcase products; we built relationships, gained crucial insights, and laid the groundwork for a new chapter in Pakistan’s rice exports.

Day 2: Strategic Insights and Deeper Immersion

Day two built on the foundation of Day 1, shifting the focus from individual deals to the broader economic and logistical environment. The morning began with a significant visit to the Côte d’Ivoire Chamber of Commerce (CCI-CI). This meeting was a cornerstone of our mission. As the official body representing commercial and industrial interests in the country, the CCI-CI is a critical partner. We engaged in a highly productive dialogue about the intricacies of trade regulations, import duties, and how the Chamber could act as a facilitator to smooth the entry process for Pakistani rice exporters. This visit underscored the importance of working with local institutions to ensure a seamless and compliant trade flow.

Following this, we embarked on a series of in-depth market visits. This time, the focus was on understanding the entire supply chain “from port to plate.” We visited major wholesale distributors and saw how large quantities of rice are handled and prepared for smaller retailers. This provided crucial insights into the logistical challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Our delegation observed the packaging, branding, and pricing strategies of competitors, gathering key data points that will inform our future marketing and sales efforts.

The evening culminated in another working dinner, but this one was different. With the groundwork laid and initial meetings concluded, the conversations were more detailed and strategic. We celebrated the connections that had been made and began to draft the blueprints for future collaboration. The goodwill and enthusiasm expressed by our Ivorian hosts were truly inspiring and reaffirmed our belief in the immense potential of this market.

These two days have been more than just about transactions; they’ve been about building bridges of trust and mutual understanding. We are confident that the foundations we have laid will lead to a thriving and mutually beneficial relationship, bringing the best of Pakistan’s rice to the people of Côte d’Ivoire and solidifying Pakistan’s position as a reliable global rice supplier.
